North of the site is a Wal-Mart Food Distribution Center containing 857,000 SF, which employs approximately 550 people. A Wal-Mart Super Center, and front retail operations including Panda Express, Payless Shoes, Carl’s Jr. a bank, and Verizon are in the Wal Mart center . East of Sun Ranch Village are a Comfort Inn, a Days Inn, a Wendy’s/Texaco, a Diamond Shamrock, a new Ford-Chevrolet Dealership, a Home Depot, Starbachs, Presbyterian Medical Clinic, Walgreens and much much more. The project is located in the Village limits of Los Lunas.
Access
Interstate 25 borders the project on the east side and the Los Lunas Exit at the interchange connects to NM Hwy 6 and provides off-ramp access. The entrance to the project is south of Hwy 6 via Sun Ranch Village Road. See the landscape sign of stone for Sun Ranch Village Road.
Utilities
Municipal water is supplied to the project via an on-site municipal well which pumps water into a one million-gallon reservoir and delivers water to the commercial site (and an adjacent residential area under construction) in an 18” water line.
A 12” liquid waste line delivers effluent to the municipal sewer system which has sufficient capacity to serve all of Sun Ranch Village.
A three-phase electrical power line is located between the south boundary of the commercial area and the north boundary of the residential area. All electrical lines will be extended underground.
Qwest is the telephone company, and cable is provided by Comcast.
